Introduction of the host organisation
International Iaido Organization Hogyokukai
Largest Mugairyu as a single organisation and national organisation in Japan.
Mugairyu Meishi-ha. The International Iaido Organization Hogyokukai was established on 5 March 2019 under the direction of the headmaster, Takeda Hogyoku, who has received direct private training as a direct disciple of the headmaster, Shinmeitama Soke, and became incorporated on 5 March 2019, a rarity among martial arts organisations. The largest single organisation and national organisation of Mugai-ryu was the Corona Disaster 2020, which made full use of online resources and did not stop at all to become a martial arts organisation for the new era.
Three all-Japan tournaments a year: Kata, Jiyu-kumitachi and Test cutting, respectively.
Three All-Japan tournaments are held each year: in the winter of January at Butokuden in Kyoto (supported by Kyoto City, Kyoto City Board of Education and Kyoto Junior Chamber), in the summer of June in Tokyo (an open tournament), and in the autumn in local cities (in 2023 the tournament will be held at the national treasure Matsumoto Castle). All-Japan tournaments are held three times a year.

Selected by Konkai Komyoji in Kyoto for a special project.
In autumn 2023, at the request of Konkai Komyoji Temple in Kurodani, Kyoto, where Lord Katamori Matsudaira of Aizu was stationed as Kyoto Protector, he appeared for 21 days and performed 43 demonstrations in a special autumn visit to the temple. OSS Taisho Grand Commander of the Samurai awards in 2020.

In 2020, he was included in ‘Masters, Hiden no Shihan-tachi’ in the monthly magazine Hiden. Its DVD ‘Introduction to Mugai-ryu Iai’ was voted Amazon’s Choice, with both the upper and lower volumes ranking number one in Amazon’s best-selling list.
